Mexico will increase its Defence and National Security budgets in 2015 | |||
Mexico's
budget project for 2015 includes an increase of 8% for national security
and for the Council of the Federal Judiciary (CJF). Mexican President
Enrique Peña Nieto has proposed to the Secretary of Defence (SEDENA)
and the Secretary of Navy (SEMAR), the two government agencies responsible
for Mexican national defense, a budget set of $7.4bn. |

Mexican Secretary of Defence will spent $600 million to modernize its equipment in 2015 |

This
proposal was sent on 5 September and must be reviewed and approved on
15 November by Mexican Congress.
$600 million will be spent to modernize the equipment of the Secretary of Defence. On the other hand, The SEMAR's budget will be partially divided into $325 million for investment and $416 million for naval operations and modernization, in which $72 million will be allocated to Navy ships replacements. |
