Germany has received their first BOXER in 2009 and after 225 vehicles there are only 47 left to be delivered to Germany till end 2016. After initial 8 Driver Training Vehicles (DTV) the remaining 192 BOXER for The Netherlands will be delivered till end 2017.

The NL AMB BOXER vehicle is the first
BOXER vehicle built at the Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles – NL (RMMV NL) facilities in Ede, The Netherlands. The German variants were built by Krauss Maffei Wegman (KMW) in Munich and by RMMV in Kassel. The NL DTV are similar to the German DTV and built by KMW. The AMB is therefore special as the factory in Ede was newly set up with local Netherlands personnel under supervision from the mother company RMMV.

The schedule foresees that the last of the 52 NL AMB will be delivered in January 2015 and will be immediately followed with the next NL BOXER vehicle types: Command Post (CP), Engineers Group (GNGP) and Cargo (CAR).

The NL AMBs will be delivered to the Royal Netherlands Army (RNLA) military depot, where the vehicles will be completed with standard military equipment (radios, recovery tools, camouflage nets, etc.) and the first NL AMB will be fielded with an operational unit in June 2014.
