| At
IDEAS 2014, which is held in Karachi from 1st to 4th December, Pakistan
Ordnance Factories, leading manufacturer in small arms and ammunitions,
is unveiling three new products for civilian and military uses: the G3S
.308 WIN dedicated to hunting and shooting sports, and the POF-4 Pistol
9x19mm and the POF-5 9x19mm, both optimized for security and military
uses. |

The
G3S .308 WIN/7.62X51mm NATO. has been designed as hunting rifle with the
firing mechanism of the G3A3 in semi-automatic mode. The accuracy of the
gun has been enhanced with a freely floating extended barrel and a military
standard picatinny rail for mounting scopes. In order to be used in many
different shooting sports and hunt, the .308 WIN cartridge is available
in four versions: Sport Ammo, Match Ammo, Hunting Ammo and Super Match
Ammo. The G3S has a 5-rounds magazine and an effective range of 600m.

Pakistan
Ordnance Factories has also chosen IDEAS 2014 to highlight two new sub
machine guns, specially optimized for individual security, VIP protection
and guard duties. The POF-4, based on the famous H&K delayed roller
locked blowback system, this 9mm sub-machine gun is an extremely reliable
and compact weapon, which uses 9x19mm Para caliber. It has a 15-rounds
magazine and weight 2.0 kg. It is available with end cap and standard
pistol grip. |

The
POF-5 is a semi-automatic, irreversible sub machine gun based on the well-known
MP5. is a recoil operated, with stationary barrel and delayed roller locked
bolt system. This is a magazine fed automatic weapon, which can be shoulder-fired
or from the hip. Ideal is use for close combat and para-military purposes.
It also uses 9x19mm caliber, with a 15-rounds magazine. |
