RT LTA Aerostat Systems to introduce Skystar 400 tactical aerostat system at AUSA 2014 0710147.

The Skystar 400 carries up to 143 lbs (65 kg) at a record altitude of 1500 ft. Using four fiber optic threads in the tether, the system provides premium quality broadband data transmission and high signal rates. Designed for operational uses, it delivers high mobility, rapid deployment capabilities, and smooth performance in the most extreme weather conditions.

According to Major (Ret.) Rami Shmueli, RT LTA’s CEO, “The Skystar 400 defines a new class of products in the aerostat systems market. Similar to a medium size tactical system, the 400 is portable and easy to use. However, its performance is comparable to that of the large strategic aerostat systems that exist in the market today.
