"To
meet the need of the field of command of the Russian Armed Forces in modern
multimedia communication services, development work is being carried out
on the creation of modern interference-resistant broadband satellite communication
systems within the framework of broader efforts to expand the satellite
communication system of the Russian Defense Ministry before 2020,"
Arslanov said. The head of the General Communications Agency noted that special attention will be paid to the installment of ground satellite communication stations. The software and equipment, used at the stations will be synchronized into a unified system. The functionality of the equipment will be increased through the reduction of its weight and size.
