MBDA showcases its MULTISORB vehicle stealth kit at SOFEX 2014
At the 10th International Exhibition of Special Forces (SOFEX-2014) MBDA is showcasing its stealth solution for vehicles called MULTISORB. It is a lightweight and durable 3D-structured synthetic fabric made from an outer ventilated layer applied onto a conductive mesh and then mounted onto a foam base.

The 3D form of the outer structure provides traditional visual colour and outline camouflage. However the properties of the three materials combined, serve to significantly limit the heat emitted by the vehicle as well as reducing the radar signature.

Even without the heat emitted by its engine, a vehicle at rest in the sun will heat up and be easily picked up by a thermal imager. MULTISORB isolates the protected vehicle from the sun's rays making the heat signal all but imperceptible.

MBDA has put the kit through the most rigorous of field tests, not only to prove its stealth-providing properties but also to ensure that it is able to withstand the most aggressive environments and treatments.

MULTISORB may be fitted on a wide range of vehicles, from 4x4s to main battle tanks. The kit provides the same stealth propertes for battlefield installations such as shelters, machine gun posts, sniper hideouts as wall as Fast Inshore Attack Craft used by special forces carrying out commando style shore attacks or secret landings.
