“We’ve developed new unique guidance and artillery fire control devices which increase the efficiency and combat power of our gunmen. I’m sure such systems are the future of our army,” remarked retired Col. Petro Pyatakov, Company Representative. The sight ensures the BM-21 vertical guidance and provides the wind correction; the computer defines firing settings considering current weather and ballistic conditions. All these components form the unique system which processes the data and transfer the generated commands to gun or vehicle commander. “The device has demonstrated its effectiveness during these three weeks,” said Lt. Col. Artur Niyazov, Chief of Artillery Units Training Section. “Due to this battery-powered computer, we get all the calculations quicker and without human involvement, the device considers the changes of weather and ballistic conditions, and the electronic sight reduces the period of guidance in two times. The artillery unit reaction has been increased and its efficiency has doubled – surely, these technologies are prospective for our gunmen,” he added. |
