Olexander Turchynov, Acting President of Ukraine, and Ihor Tenyukh, Acting Minister of Defense, personally observed the active phase of complex tactical drills of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at military range.

Tank, artillery, high mobile, air defense, aviation units have successfully completed tasks assigned, manoeuvres, hit targets and worked out elements of interoperability. The involved units demonstrated their skills and readiness to accomplish tasks.

“Considering the fact that Russian troops entered Crimea, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were put on full alert. On March 3, the Ukrainian Army has started complex drills through the whole territory of Ukraine,” Olexander Turchynov underlined.

“Today, we’ve observed real drills. The different units worked out cooperation. Surely, there are a lot of problems. Meanwhile, the key point – we’ve seen the servicemen are ready to defend the People, the Motherland. Our army exists, it is ready to defend and protect the state.”
