Yalguzag 7.62mm sniper rifle will enter in service with armed forces of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan will soon introduce local-produced “Yalguzag” 7.62mm sniper in the armament used by the armed forces of Azerbaijan, said a representative of the Azerbaijan defense industry at the 14th Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference DSA 2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
     
Azerbaijan will soon introduce local-produced “Yalguzag” 7.62mm sniper in the armament used by the armed forces of Azerbaijan, said a representative of the Azerbaijan defense industry at the 14th Defence Services Asia Exhibition and Conference DSA 2014 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

7.62x51 NATO ammo is used in the sniper rifle. The weapon has already been tested.

“Yalguzag” successfully passed the tests. The sniper rifle is ready for practical use,” advisor of the Defense Industry Ministry Azad Mammadov said.

“Yalguzag” sniper rifle, which was for the first time showcased at the international defense exhibition in Turkey, drew the attention of foreign military people at DSA-2014.

The weapon operates in the principle of bolt action.

The rifle equipped with “piccatini resi” allows arming the weapon with additional optical devices. The weapon demonstrated at the exhibition was equipped with local-produced optical sight.

The butt of weapons is regulated in accordance with the anatomy of the arrow (hand and check).
