The
Serbian Defense Company YugoImport
presents its full range of artillery systems at IDEAS 2014, the International
Defense Exhibition in Pakistan. Very active in the wheeled self-propelled
howitzer market, the Serbian Company YugoImport displays three models
of this type of products at IDEAS 2014 with the NORA-B52
K1B 155mm, the NORA
B-52K1 155mm 52 caliber, and the SOKO
SP RR 122mm. |

The
self-propelled artillery system NORA-B/52 family 155 mm, is fitted with
a 52 caliber barrel, it's the first complex combat system developed by
Yugoimport-SDPR which has entered serial production.
Large number of weapons of this family was delivered to the buyers from the region of South-East Asia and Sub-Sahara Africa. The system was developed following the principle of open architecture which means that the technical solutions applied for certain subsystems may be integrated with the system as a whole depending on the specific requirement of the users, their necessities and available budget. The NORA-B52 is equipped with a full-automatic loading system and of a semi-automatic breechblock, the system carrying on board 36 complete rounds, including 12 ready to fire and 24 kept in a magazine located behind the front cabin. NORA gun howitzer has high fire power thanks to its long range (achieved range of 42 km with ERFB/BB projectile; estimated range with ERFB RA/BB projectile which is under development is expected be up to 56 km), and high rate of fire. High tactical and operational mobility, short time of transition from travelling into combat position and quick mission readiness (up to one minute) are achieved thanks to the applied high degree of automation and contemporary highly sophisticated fire control system / command-information system. |

YugoImport
has also a large experience in the development and production of artillery
projectiles. Thanks to existing theoretical and practical knowledge and
also bearing in mind experiences from combat environment, the complete
family of YugoImport 155mm rounds has been developed and it consists of
standard projectiles, and of projectiles with optimized aerodynamic layout
of front ogive with or without base-bleed unit.
During the development many original technical solutions have been implemented, thanks to technical breakthroughs and also appearances of new materials, machines, tools and manufacturing technologies. Needless to say that all of these technical advances aimed at ammunition upgrading were thoroughly tested at proving grounds, and only after all of requirements were fulfilled they were ready to enter series production. By this unmistakable design philosophy YugoImport has created the family of 155mm ammunition which have following features, which are placing our rounds among the best available on the market today. |
