The deputy minister is part of a delegation travelling in Europe to finalize deals for the procurement of new equipment. After a meeting at AgustaWestland’s factory in Italy, the delegation will remain in Europe until next Tuesday in order to attend a meeting in Czech Republic with ExcaliburArmy company. The Argentinian delegation will discuss the potential procurement of armoured vehicles for the troops taking part in UN missions around the world. The Argentinian Army has different types of armoured vehicles. With many being already in service for the last four decades, the Army has decided during the past year to acquire 110 Norinco VN-1 8x8 APCs and in 2012 it received 14 Iveco Guarani 6x6 AIFVs. Excalibur Army can produce under license the Pandur II 8x8 armoured vehicle in different variants and offer upgrades of former Soviet platforms. |
