The SX-1 Modular Tactical Rifle was designed to allow operators to customise the rifle to fit any specific mission requirements. The rifle can be supplied with three interchangeable calibers: .308 Win, .300 Win Magnum and .338 Lapua Magnum. With the SX-1 MTR operators can utilise different aftermarket magazines, AR-15 compatible pistol grips and buttstocks that fit to the original R&S buttstock folding mechanism.
The main goal of Ritter & Stark was to create a very strong and stable shooting platform. Therefore the SX-1 platform features the barrel as the centre part of the rifle and everything else is attached to it m a way that makes the SX-1 the most consistently accurate rifle. Barrel change or caliber conversion doesn't require any special skills, and can be performed by the operator in field conditions within minutes. The stock-receiver is machined from an aluminium billet, designed to provide exact positioning and larger contact area with the barrel. Main advantages of SX-1 are following: interchangeable calibers, bolt is locked into the barrel breach, outstanding accuracy, high customisation potential with aftermarket compatible parts and unique electrochemical barrel rifling and chambering technology. Patented, electrochemical technology allows to rifle and chamber the barrel simultaneously with low tolerances and significant uniformity by applying no mechanical stress on the metal. This stressless rifling and chambering technology is a step forward in rifle barrels manufacturing. |
