"Work will be performed in multiple locations, with an estimated completion date of March 31, 2019. Fiscal 2010 other funds in the amount of $53,868,769 were obligated at the time of the award. Army Contracting Command, Warren, Michigan, is the contracting activity," the US DoD said.
In june 2014, Brazil requested a $110 million FMS for M109A5+ upgrade kits and associated equipment, parts, training and logistical support. "The reconfigured howitzers will provide the Brazilian Army with a much needed upgrade to this capability while further enhancing interoperability with U.S. and other military forces," said then the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency. |
