L&T new Air Defence Fire Control Radar system is a state-of-the art and compact system which allow the user to control the firing of two air defense guns.
The ADFCR radar system consists of a one three dimensional (3D) Surveillance Radar and one Tracking Radar systems, Electro Optical (EO) sensor for passive tracking, a Command & Control Station (including Weapon Control Unit) and an integral power supply system. The 3D surveillance radar is a land-based version of Airbus' TRS-3D radar, offered in cooperation with its Indian partner L&T. The surveillanc radar is the Elta's ELM 2026B very short range air defence radar system. The AFDCR is able to transmit data to MANPADs in a range of 8km over line and radio. The entire system is mounted on a single trailer in a modular configuration with its own captive power supply. The system can self-sustain for up to 8 hours. A nuclear, biological and chemical pathogen proof air-conditioned shelter is provided for the personnel as well as electronics. |
