| FN Herstal presented its latest design in pintle weapons mounting. With the use of composite materials, the company has managed to reduce the weight of the connection plate by 30%. The prototype model was displayed at the company’s boot at Eurosatory 2016. | |||

This new technology is applicable to all FN pintle connection plates. The connection plate is a critical component, which is specific to every carrier type. It interfaces the carrier hard points and FN weapon system, withstands carrier vibrations, the weapon recoil load and crash loads to meet the highest aeronautical standards. By integrating advanced technologies and materials in airborne weapon systems, FN Herstal constantly looks at further developing and providing innovative solutions for MODs and OEMs. |
