Excalibur Army offers a modern version of the RM-70 rocket artillery system
Excalibur Army is offering a modern version of the multiple artillery rocket launcher RM-70. The system has been widely used by former Soviet states, proving its reliability for decades. The Czech firm has adapted it to the modern battlefield requirements naming it RM-70 Vampir.

The new system is integrated on a Tatra T-815-7 truck chassis. It is powered by an eight-cylinder Tatra T3C engine with 270 kW of output, coupled with a Tatra 10 TS 210 N gearbox, with semi-automatic Tatra Norgen drive system and an additional gearbox Tatra 2.30TRS. The platform has a range of around 1,000 km and a maximum speed of 90 km/h.

The crew cabin is armoured and provides protection against biological and chemical weapons. Its protection can be further increased with the addition of additional ballistic protection, depending on the mission requirements. Multiple Vampirs can be interconnected through the modern fire control system, while each battery is equipped with a Forward Observer’s set.

Excalibur Army has already produced two batteries of the RM-70 Vampir, as well as two battery commander and one battalion commander vehicles.
