First batch of 12 CV9035 IFV Infantry Fighting Vehicles from Netherlands were delivered to Estonia.
A first batch of 12 CV9035 IFVs (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) bought by Estonian Armed Forces from Netherlands were delivered Friday, October 7, 2016. Training of the Estonian army unit that will use the IFVs will start in the second quarter of next year.

On Friday , October 7, 2016, morning, a cargo ship carrying a total of twelve CV9035 IFVs and one armored recovery vehicle (ARV) docked at Paldiski's North Port. Following unloading, the twelve vehicles would be transported to the 1st Infantry Brigade at Tapa Army Base. (Source err.ee)
     

According the Estonian Public Broadcasting website (ERR.EE), eight military personnel from the Scouts Battalion of Estonian army will head for Holland "shortly" to attend a course for users of CV9035s, learn tactics and take part in a live fire exercise.

Estonia concluded an agreement with Netherlands at the end of 2014 for the acquisition of 44 units of CV9035NL and support vehicles built on the chassis of the Leopard 1 tank for 113 million euros. The IFVs will be delivered in 2016-2018.

The CV9035 is an Infantry Fighting Vehicle developed by BAE Systems Land Systems Hägglunds (formerly Alvis Hägglunds) of Örnsköldsvik and Saab Bofors Dynamics of Karlskoga, Sweden.

According to the defense ministry, the Netherlands had ordered a total of 193 CV90s from BAE Systems Hägglunds AB in Sweden, in infantry transport and command/control configurations. Deliveries took place between 2008 and 2011.

The CV9035 is fitted with a two-man turret armed with one Bushmaster III 35/50 cannon with a computerized fire control system incorporating an ammunition programmer. One a 7.62mm machine gun is mounted coaxially to the left of the main armament.
