Hesco appreciates that soldiers require engineered structures that offer blast, fragmentation and ballistic protection but are logistically light, simple to construct and ideally recoverable. Building a defensive structure with speed and efficiency, in the most volatile environments, is crucial. In that way, HESCO provides a wide range of defensive products.

Above all, modern defense systems need to be able to satisfy two key challenges: the rapid advances made in the effectiveness of weapon systems and the increasing size and complexity of deployed military bases.

HESCO delivers defensive barriers, security barriers, flood barriers, protective structures, rapide deployment and body armor. One of HESCO's leading product is the MIL unit.

The legendary MIL™ unit’s ability to position and contain large volumes of earth, sand, gravel or rock, to create limitless defensive barriers, has made it essential in the protection of forces around the globe.

Whether used as a preventative barrier or to define boundaries, MIL units have been employed to safeguard personnel, vehicles, equipment, facilities and other critical assets in a variety of military, peacekeeping, humanitarian and civilian operations.

HESCO also developped a recoverable version of the MIL. This version provides the same high-specification welded mesh and geotextile as standard MIL units, but the patented recoverable feature means that individual cells can be opened by removing just one pin, allowing the fill material to be released from the unit.
