IDEAS 2016: Streit Group presents its new Cheetah armored personnal carrier
At IDEAS 2016, which is being held from 22 to 25 Nov. in Karachi (Pakistan), the local division of the armored vehicles manufacturer Streit is showcasing for the first time the Cheetah. The Cheetah is a light armored personnal carrier able to accomodate up to eight soldiers.

Streit Pakistan was established in 2012 and now operates in a 30,000 sq manufacturing. Armored vehicles produced by Streit Pakistan range from Toyota Land Cruiser 200 and 100 series, Toyota Prado, Fortuner Tundra, Quick Response APC, and Guard Rooms Protection Level B5 and B6.

Streit's Cheetah is a swift, efficient and powerful armored vehicle built on the Toyota Land Cruiser platform. It is ideally suited for multi-purpose utilization, such as patrolling, convoy escorts, tackling insurgencies, and troop deployement. It comes with added advantage of flexible configurations according to the customer's needs. The crew is protected by a CEN Level BR6 armoring.

Armored enhancements of the Landcruiser plaftorm includes a roof-mounted 360° traversing turret with perimeter protection, 4-point safety harness for the four rear occupants, and three gun ports on each side of the vehicle and one gun port on the rear of the vehicle. The Cheetah features a Huntchinson runflat device fitted in all vehicles' tires, including spare wheel.

The Cheetah APC is powered by an OEM Toyota 1GR-FE V6 cylinders engine. Its fuel capacity of 47 gal gives it a maximum driving range of 559 miles, or about 1,000 km.
