The Belarusian Minotor-Service Company has developed a new light tracked multipurpose armoured vehicle called Breeze presented for the first time at the International Military Technical Forum Army-2016 which was held near Moscow (Russia) in September 2016.

At Army 2016, the Breeze was presented in command post configuration without any turret, but according to Minotor engineers, the vehicle can be fitted with a turret armed with a 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannon and a 7.62 mm Kalashnikov PKT coaxial machine gun to be used as IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle). The Breeze IFV turret can be also armed with two launchers of laser guided anti-tank missile mounted to the right side of the turret. The turret also includes a new sighting system. The main armament of the Breeze vehicle has an elevation angle of -5°- +60°, while the anti-tank one of -15°- +30°. The Breeze is a multirole tracked chassis which can be configured for a wide range of missions as command and control, air defense, medical support and more. The hull of the Breeze is made of all-welded steel which provides the crew with protection from small arms fire and shell splinters. The Breeze is motorized with a Diesel engine developing 295 hp. coupled to a with a manual transmission with eight forward and two reverse gears. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed of 70km/h with a maximum cruising range of 400 km. The Breeze is also fully amphibious propelled in the water by its tracks with a speed from 3 to 5 km/h. The torsion suspension of the Breeze consists on each side of six road wheels similar to the wheels of the T-64 main battle tank. The drive sprocket at the rear, idler at the front and there is also a number of track-return rollers. |
