New iLDRIM MRAP APC makes its world premiere at ADEX 2016

At ADEX 2016, The Military-Technical Cooperation Department (MODIAR) of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence Industry introduced a local variant of the Caprivi Mk1 4x4 mine-resistant ambush protected armored personnel vehicle dubbed “iLDIRIM”.

Developed in cooperation with Mobile Land Systems, which produces the Caprivi MRAP, the iLDRIM can accommodates a platoon of 12 dismounted soldiers.
Protection of the crew is ensured thanks to a STANAG 4569 Level 2A and 2b blast protection. For its close protection, the vehicle is fitted with two manned turret which can be armed with 12.7 mm NSV machine guns. The iLDRIM is powered by a CUMMINS ISBe 270 BS-III 6-cylinders engine (265 hp). Its two 70 l-strong fuel tanks allow a large operational range. It has a maximum speed of 90 km/h. These MRAP has a combat weight of 15.5 tons and can carry up to 2.5 tons of payload. MODIAR’s iLDRIM has a length of 7.3 m, a width of 2.5 m and a height of 3.2 m. It has an approach angle of 31° and a departure angle of 38°. |
