Opening ceremony Warrior Competition 2016 at KASOTC Special Forces training center in Jordan.
Monday, May 2, 2016, opening ceremony at the KASOTC, the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center for the International Warrior Competition 2016 that brings together the world’s elite Military, Special Operations, Counter Terrorism and Law Enforcement Force.

The KASOTC Special Forces training center is located is located in Yajouz, Jordan and is a one-of-a-kind facility. The 2.5 square kilometer site boasts over 250 million dollars worth of cutting-edge training facilities and support structures. Its unique nature derives from an extraordinary combination of cutting-edge training, elite instructor and support staff and its integrated advanced technology. KASOTC offers tailored training courses or training support for clients with their own programs.

This year, Army Recognition editorial team will cover the Warrior Competition with its Defense and Security Web TV. The event takes place from 2 to 6 May 2016, during five days 27 teams from around the world participate at this event to be the best of the best.

Each competing team is comprised of 8 members that consist of 1 team leader, 5 competitors, and 2 alternative members. All the teams adhere to the rules and regulations of the competition in regards to gear and equipment that is permitted to be used, furthermore; the competing warrior’s capability will be observed and judged by a panel of reputable international experts from various professional military and law enforcement backgrounds in the industry.

At the opening Ceremony, Special Forces of the Jordanian army has performed a live demonstration showing their ability to response to the new threats including counter-terrorism using modern combat vehicles, weapons and military equipment.

Jordan's special forces team, grouped under Jordan's Joint Special Operations Command, is 14,000 strong and is one of the most effective fighting and intelligence forces in the region. Jordanian special forces frequently train alongside US forces.

During the afternoon, the Warrior Competition 2016 has started with the "Colt Top Shot 2.0" event, with one single competitor of each team that has performed shooting with assault rifle, shotgun and automatic pistol to show their ability to shoot very fast with high level of accuracy.
