The United Instrument-Manufacturing Corporation is a subsidiary of Russia’s state hi-tech corporation Rostec.

"The enterprises of the cluster should pursue one goal and become a single whole," the press office said.

"For this purpose, the management structure is being changed and a single decision-making center is being set up to comprise a managerial body headed by one CEO who will determine the single financial, scientific and production policy of four enterprises," the press office said.

"This will make the management system quicker and more efficient, reduce the administrative personnel and expenses on their maintenance," First Deputy CEO of the United Instrument-Manufacturing Corporation Maxim Vasilevsky said.

According to the press office, the new defense cluster will comprise the Oktyabr, Revtrud, Tambovapparat and Efir Radio Equipment Research Center that are the producers of communications and electronic warfare systems, command and staff vehicles.
