The Swedish Army is upgrading and modernizing its training system to meet future functional requirements on a national level. The upgrade entails that the Swedish Armed Forces will be able to utilize the international standard, which is used by other Nordic countries as well as several European NATO countries and the US Army in Europe.
“This order is proof that our method for realistically simulating ballistics is still world leading. We are constantly developing the technology to improve system performance and satisfy new requirements,” says Åsa Thegström, head of business unit Training & Simulation within Saab business area Dynamics. “We have a long tradition of delivering simulator systems to the Swedish Armed Forces and with this order, we assure their capabilities to train and conduct manoeuvres on national and international levels,” says Åsa Thegström. |
