The new systems are already being installed on a vast range and number of platforms. These include armoured fighting vehicles, armoured personnel carriers, light reconnaissance vehicles and various vessels. IMP is modern, lightweight, digital communications C4i-enabling system. It supports intercom, radio and data transmission in one single solution. Savox Communications designed the system for use in land platforms, ranging from tanks to light vehicles, and naval ones, ranging from RIBs to aircraft carriers. The system provides instant access to communications, inside and outside of the tactical radio network. Each member of the crew can connect its Personal Communications Unit to the ports located throughout a vehicle or vessel. According to Jerry Kettunen, Savox Communications CEO, “We’ve now completed the all the systems integration work and the client has begun managing the process of installation. They are working to guidelines based on the sample vehicles we have provided, along with our documentation and our comprehensive personnel training. This frame agreement has been very involved and complex, but in delivering this big order right on time to an extremely demanding schedule Savox has risen to the challenge and exceed expectations! The client is delighted, the proof of which is that we are currently in discussions to extend the scope of the initial agreement.” |
