Massive mobilization is underway in northern Aleppo as Free Syrian Army (FSA) factions and the Turkish Army are preparing to link up rebel forces at al-Rai and Jarablus, thus removing ISIS from its last stretch of Turkish-Syrian border territory. Reports suggest a further 15 Turkish NATO tanks and some 600 newly trained FSA fighters have crossed the border into Syria in the past few days.

Since August 24, 2016, Turkey has deployed warplanes, tanks and special forces, to free the town of Jarablus and prevent the PYD/PKK terror groups from advancing further West. Turkey has launched the Operation Euphrates Shield, a military intervention in the Syrian Civil War.

According a statement of August 2, 2016, from the Turkish armed forces, nine terrorist targets were hit 67 times using Turkish army 155mm self-propelled howitzers Firtina in the village of Qunduriyah, some 79 kilometers from the city of Aleppo, the regional capital.
