UTM-80M decontamination systems for Yars ICBM launchers will enter in service with Russian army
The UTM-80M mobile systems intended for the decontamination of the RS-24 Yars (NATO reporting name: SS-27 Mod 2) mobile intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launchers and combat aircraft will be brought into service with the Russian Armed Forces in 2017, Deputy Commander of the Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and Radiological (NBCR) Protection Troops, Major General Igor Klimov said.
     
The UTM-80M mobile systems intended for the decontamination of the RS-24 Yars (NATO reporting name: SS-27 Mod 2) mobile intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launchers and combat aircraft will be brought into service with the Russian Armed Forces in 2017, Deputy Commander of the Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, and Radiological (NBCR) Protection Troops, Major General Igor Klimov said. Russian UTM-80 decontamination system is based on KAMAZ-63501 trucks
     
"The serial production of the UTM-80M decontamination vehicles has already been launched. The massive deliveries of the systems to the aviation units and the Strategic Missile Forces (Russian acronym: RVSN, Raketnie Voyska Strategicheskogo Naznacheniya) are scheduled for 2017," Klimov said.

The UTM-80M multipurpose vehicle allows decontaminating and disinfecting of bulk items with a height of up to 17 m. It is based on the KAMAZ-63501 army truck.
