The Adunok weapon station can be mounted on different types of equipment, including motor vehicles, armored personnel carriers (APCs), boats, unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) as well as permanent emplacements. The RWS system includes a control unit and up to four RWS located at up to 300 m. The weight of one weapon station is 150 kg (without weapons and ammunition). It is fitted with a surveillance and target designation unit, which includes video cameras with wide and narrow fields of view, a thermal imager and a laser rangefinder. The maximum target detection range is 2000 m and the maximum measurable range to target is 2500 m.
The Adunok RWS can be fitted with a 7.62mm Kalashnikov PKT machine gun (500 rounds), 12.7mm NSVT or Kord heavy machine gun (100 rounds) or AG-17A automatic grenade launcher (50 rounds). Its main armament has a stabilizer. The RWS received armor protection that increases its survival on the battlefield. It is currently used to equip the modernized BRDM-2MB1 armored reconnaissance and patrol vehicle developed by the Belarusian Repair Plant No. 140. Display DB is making efforts to increase the firepower of the Adunok RWS. So, the Adunok-V version is equipped with both the NSVT heavy machine gun and AG-17A automatic grenade launcher. The RWS has retained the basic electro-optic equipment unit, which received armor protection along with a traverse platform. The Adunok-V’s ammunition load includes 100 machine gun rounds and 50 grenade rounds. The weight of the RWS with heavier armament grew to 261 kg. The Adunok-V can be mounted on motor vehicles and light armored vehicles, unmanned ground vehicles as well as boats and ships. At MILEX 2017, the Belarusian company also presented a version of the Adunok equipped with anti-tank weapons. In this version, the RWS is fitted with a block of two RPG-26 rocket-propelled anti-tank grenades or RSHG-2 rocket-propelled assault grenades. Rocket-assisted systems of other types and in other quantities may be mounted on the RWS. |
