At SOFINS 2017, the French defense contractor Nexter Systems, part of the KNDS joint venture, is introducing a new Low Profile variant of its well known ARX 25 land remote controled weapon station. The ARX 25 "Low Profile" is the latest development of Nexter's ARX 25 RCWS.

Equipped with the battle-proven 25M811 cannon providing exceptional firepower and high hit performance, the ARX 25LP has been designed to be used on a wide range of armored vehicles.
The ARX 25LP features an advanced stabilized day/night sensor head allowing panoramic observation and providing on-the-move capability. It ensures superior target acquisition and engagement. Loaded with more than 90 rounds, the ARX 25LP meets the operational requirements for surveillance, protection, security and combat missions. ARX 25LP is based on a modular design enabling integration of a wide range of optional functions. Nexter's new Low Profile turret comes with three day color cameras, two FOVs IR cooled camera and a laser range finder. WIth a weight of only 500 kg, the ARX 25LP can be fitted on several military vehicles, such as Renault Trucks Defense's Sherpa family of light armored tactical vehicles. Optional systems include four Galix smoke grenade launchers, Pilar acoustic gunshot detection system, and a 7.62 mm machine gun. |
