Police and Gendarmerie forces of Serbia will receive Milosh and Lazar 3 armoured vehicles.

According a statement published by the Serbian government, the Special Anti-Terrorist unit of the Serbian Police will receive six of the new Milosh 4x4 multi-purpose armoured vehicle designed and manufactured by the Serbian State Company Yugoimport, while the Serbian the Serbian Gendarmerie will receive six Lazar 3 8x8 armoured personnel carrier (APC).

The Milosh is a 4x4 armoured multi-purpose vehicle which was unveiled in February 2017 during IDEX 2017, the International Defense Exhibition IDEX in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The Milosh is a new concept of combat vehicle fully designed and manufactured in Serbia by the State Company Yugoimport. The vehicle can be used for a wide range of missions and it can be used for special operations, anti-terrorism, border patrol or territory control missions; The hull of the Milosh provides a protection STANAG 4569 Level 3 at the front and Level 2 for the sides against firing of small arms and shell splinters. At IDEX 2017, the Milosh was fitted a remotely operated weapon station armed with a 12.7mm heavy machine gun. The Milsoh can carried a total of 8 personnel, with for seats at the front and 4 at the rear.

The Lazar 3 is the latest generation of armoured vehicle personnel carrier in the family of Lazar vehicle which was also presented for the first time during IDEX 2017. This vehicle was also developed by the State Company Yugoimport.
The Lazar 3 is fitted with an highly sophisticated, modular ballistic protection which provides an all-around ballistic protection STANAG 4569 Level 3firing of small arms 7.62×51mm AP (Armoured-Piercing) at 30 meters with 930 m/s and mine blast protection of 8 kg of TNT under the wheels. At IDEX 2017, the Lazar 3 was presented in two configurations, and APC variant fitted with a remote weapon station armed with a 12.7mm machine and IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) variant fitted with a Russian turret as the BTR-80A which is armed with one 30 mm 2A72 automatic cannon and one 7.62 mm PKTM machine gun mounted coaxially to the right of the main armament. The Lazar 3 can accommodate a total of 12 military personnel including driver, commander and gunner. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed of 110 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 800 km.
