More than 80% of missile large units have replaced the Tochka-U (NATO reporting name: SS-21 Scarab-B) tactical ballistic missile system with the Iskander-M (SS-26 Stone) system, Russian Army Commander-in-Chief Colonel-General Oleg Salyukov said.

"Work is currently under way to rearm Army units with advanced military hardware. Army missile units are replacing the Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile system with the Iskander-M system in accordance with the program," Salyukov said.
"As of today, more than 80% of missile units have received the advanced system," he added. According to the commander, two more missile large units will be fully rearmed with the Iskander-M system this year. The Iskander tactical ballistic missile system is designed to deliver precision strikes against targets within a range of 50-500 kilometers (31-311 miles) in various theaters of operations in all conditions, including amid heavy anti-missile and electronic warfare countermeasures. |
