Russian Armed Forces' Engineer Troops presenting advanced equipment and know-how at Army-2017
Russia’s Engineer Troops is presenting more than 40 pieces of current and advanced engineer equipment at the Army-2017 Military and Technical Forum to be held near Moscow, Russian Defense Ministry’s Information and Mass Communications Department reported.

"The outdoor static display deployed in the territory of the Patriot Exhibition and Convention Center will enable the participants and visitors of the forum to get acquainted with engineer equipment fielded and being fielded in 2017: VMLK-1 field mobile sawmill facility, modernized PP-2005M pontoon park, modernized TMM-3M2 heavy mechanized bridge, KDBM wheeled road armored vehicle, MKKV-1000 mobile water treatment and conservation facility and other engineer facilities," the ministry said in the statement.

During live demonstrations, the engineer specialists are demonstrating the capabilities of engineer equipment in the course of the rehearsal of tactical actions in Lake Komsomolskoye (Alabino Range).

The engineer and demining units are showing how to conduct engineer terrain reconnaissance and mine clearance on the approaches to a water obstacle using the IRM engineer reconnaissance vehicle and the ZRP-2 mine clearing charge. The pontoon units demonstrates equipping and maintaining an assault crossing on the PTS amphibious transporters and a ferry crossing on PMM-2 ferry-bridge machines, equipping and maintaining a bridge crossing (part of the PMP-M pontoon park kit).

Also, a crew of the IMR-3 obstacle-clearing vehicle presents making paths in obstructions, while a crew of the MTU-72 bridge-layer will lay a bridge over an anti-tank ditch.
