Short but strong: Desert Tech presents the SRS-A1 Covert sniper rifle at LAAD 2017
The shortest sniper rifle made its South-American premiere today at the LAAD defense and security exhibition, being held from 4-7 April 2017. With a length of 68 cm, the SRS-A1 Covert, designed by the US-based company Desert Tech, is even smaller than the well-known HK MP5 submachine gun.

Desert Tech's SRS-A1 Convert, the shortest sniper rifle in the world, showcased at LAAD 2017

With an overall length of just 68.58 cm, the SRS-A1 Covert is certainly the shortest precision rifle in the world. At over a foot shorter than traditional sniper rifles, the Covert adds new level of concealability in a full-power sniper rifle the size of a submachine gun.

The SRS-A1 Covert was purpose-designed for police and military snipers requiring ultimate manoeuvrability. The Covert is a long range rifle capable of 1000-yard groupings while remaining as nimble as a submachine gun.

Designed with the same accuracy components as the SRS-A1, the Covert holds the same guarantee of 1/2 MOA or better accuracy at 100 yards for three rounds using Desert Tech ammunition. The SRS-A1 Covert uses conversion kits with fast-twist barrels to optimize accuracy for both subsonic and full-power ammunition.

The SRS-A1 Covert uses Desert Tech patented quick calibre conversion feature, with the ability to change calibers in sixty seconds.

The rifle is available with .308 Win, .300 Win Mag and .338 LM calibers.
