SOFINS 2017: Centigon showcased its Fortress 200 Intervention

Centigon Defense, headquartered in France, showcased its Fortress 200 Intervention at SOFINS 2017. With over 60 years of armoring experience covering a full range of defense applications including border patrol, reconnaissance, escort and riot control missions, Centigon presented one of its armored mobile security solution currently used by the GIGN - the elite law enforcement and special operations unit of the French National Gendarmerie.

The Fortress 200 Intervention is armoured to STANAG 4569 level 2 and withstands side blast of 15kg TNT at 2m. Designed for special operations forces, the interior is modular and can be used for different missions: hostage situations, surveillance, escort convoy, pursuit...
The rear double doors, the ballistic removable flanks and the roof hatch act as a shield to protect the occupants under fire. |

Centigon Fortress 200 Intervention features a B7 (VPAM Kl. 9) protection level. Both the passenger and storage compartments are entirely protected, from the firewall to the rear double doors. The roof and floor of the vehicle can withstand 2 DM51 hand grenades exploding simultaneously.
The vehicle is based on a Land Cruiser 200 VX or GX. The rims, tires, door hinges, brakes and suspension have been replaced with enhanced versions suited for the new weight of the vehicle. Certified to circulate in France, the Fortress 200 Intervention can also be used in operations theatres. |
