Taurus introduces new TS Series family of pistols at LAAD 2017

A new family of pistols has been introduced at the LAAD 2017 defense and security exhibition, being held until April 7th in Rio de Janeiro, by the Brazilian company Taurus. The TS series is a new family of pistols specially developed for the law enforcement and military markets.

Meeting the highest protocols of resistance and security tests, the TS Series pistol is available in full size and compact versions. Both variants feature dual trigger safety system which, combined with the firing mechanism and the innovative design, gives this model with readiness and easy maintenance, providing sealing against dust, sand and mud, ideal for the use under extreme conditions.

TS Series’ pistols slide is made of carbon steel, while the grip is composed of polymer. All pistols feature a striker-fire action system.
The TS Series pistols are proposed in 9 mm (TS 9/C), .40S&W (T40/C) and .380 ACP (TS380/C) calibers. The full size variants respectively feature 17+1, 15+1, and 18+1 cartridges magazines. The compact versions present a 13+1, 11+1, and a 15+1 cartridges magazine. With over 77 years of history and more than 3,000 employees, the Brazilian manufacturer Forjas Taurus SA hold four industrial facilities, three in Brazil and one in US. The company first started operations as a forging industry, adding revolvers in the 40’ and consolidating its presence in the Brazilian and American markets in the 80’ with the production of several models of handguns and assault rifles. |
