Eurosatory 2018: Streit Group new generation of land and sea military products.
The Canadian-based Company Streit Group one of the world’s leading, privately owned armored vehicles manufacturer in the world will showcase latest innovations and technologies of armoured and combat vehicles at Eurosatory 2018, the Land and Airland Defence & Security Exhibition that will take place in Paris (France) from the 11 to 15 June 2018. At Eurosatory 2018, Streit Group will exhibit latest generation of wheeled protected and armoured vehicles including the Gepard-ASV 4x4 armored security vehicle, the Python SUT 4x4 Small Utility Vehicle and the Python-LAMV 4x4 Light Armored Multirole Vehicle. At the booth of Streit Group, visitors will also see the Mobile Checkpoint, an armoured mobile cabin mounted on a trailer.
Streit Group will also unveil its Triton G810 an armoured boat especially designed to conduct patrols in harbours, rivers, lakes, territorial waters and isolated areas. The Triton G810 armoured boat’s engine compartment, weapon stores and crew cabin are built using bullet-resistant materials.
The roof of the Triton G-810 crew cabin is fitted with a single hatch that can be fitted with small turret or remotely operated weapon station which can be armed with 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun.
Another new product of Streit Group at Eurosatory 2018 is the SHERP, an All-Terrain amphibious vehicle equipped with enormous self-inflating tires and paddle-like treads that propels the machine over obstacles as tall as 70 cm. The SHERP will be also presented in live demonstration every day during all the week of Eurosatory 2018.
The SHERP is powered by a turbo-diesel engine coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. This 1.5L 4-cylinder produces only 44 horsepower, but about 88 ft-lbs of torque. The SHERP can run at a maximum top speed of 40 km/h in all-terrain conditions and can swim at a maximum speed of 6 km/h.
