On July 4th, Emmanuel Levacher, president of Arquus, symbolically presented the license plate of the first EBMR Griffon vehicle to General Jean-Pierre Bosser, Chief of Staff of the Army (CEMAT), during a ceremony organized in Satory, in the presence of the Minister of the Armies, Mrs. Florence Parly.

This ceremony marks the kick-off of the first deliveries of the EBMR Griffons in the framework of the Scorpion programme, thereby materializing the work done by the Arquus teams since December 5, 2014, and the announcement of the program launch by Jean-Yves Le Drian, then Minister of Defense.

This important step, the fruit of the common work of the state and industrial actors of the Scorpion program, is for Arquus the opportunity to renew its constant commitment to accompany the Army in its great transformations. Historical partner of the Army, Arquus is one of the three actors of the Temporary Grouping of Companies (GME, Groupement Momentané d’Entreprises) to which the Ministry of Defense had notified the Scorpion contract.

Expert in land mobility solutions, Arquus participates in the realization of the new generation of forward vehicles of the Scorpion program: the VBMR Griffon and the EBRC Jaguar. Arquus is responsible in particular for providing the kinematic chains of these two vehicles, all the components that ensure the mobility of vehicles. The Griffon and the Jaguar are in particularly equipped with 6x6 chassis/transmissions (kinematic chain) giving both vehicles very high mobility on all grounds, according to the specifications defined by the DGA. The Jaguar will be well able to accompany the Leclerc main battle tank or the VBCI (Véhicule Blindé de Combat d’Infanterie) in order to provide them with support and maneuver in all areas of engagement.

Arquus is also responsible for designing and delivering remotely controlled self-defense systems. This technical mastery makes it possible to place remotely-controlled turrets at the heart of collaborative combat.

At the heart of the Scorpion program's vehicle support, Arquus will be responsible for the entire spare parts logistics for the Griffons and Jaguars, thanks to its logistic platform of Fourchambault. This 20,000 m² platform, implemented between 2016 and 2018, will supply all partners in a very short time both industrial and state-run Scorpion programs. It will thus guarantee in all circumstances the operational technical availability of the Griffons and Jaguars, thanks to delivery times contractually demanding.
