The Belgian Council of Ministers on Friday, July 17, 2020, gave its agreement to the launch of several public contracts for Defense, one of which concerns the purchase of war and exercise ammunition for the 40 mm automatic grenade launcher which arms Jankel Fox RRV (Rapid Reaction Vehicles) and Unimog Jacam of the Special Forces Group quartered in Hervelee (Leuven). These are 40 mm High Velocity (HV) High Explosive Dual Purpose Insensitive Munition Electronic Self-Destruction Tracer, and 40 mm HV Target Practice Marking Tracer Insensitive Munitions.

The Council of Ministers also authorized the purchase of a first batch of six armored vehicles of the SUV type, intended to equip both the Special Forces Group and the military intelligence service (SGRS, Service Général du Renseignement et de la Sécurité). The maximum requirement expressed by the Defense is 42 of these Civilian Armored Vehicles (CAV). They must replace Toyota Land Cruisers used in particular by detachments of security guards (DAS) who protect Belgian embassies in sensitive countries (in Africa or Afghanistan) and Belgian personalities who stay there on a mission.
