BTR-80 APCs, T-64 and T-72 MBTs handed over to Ukrainian MoD.

The state enterprise Kyiv Armored Plant, which is part of Ukroboronprom, handed over 9 armored personnel carriers BTR-80 to the Ukrainian vіykov party after a complete overhaul. Ukroboronprom publishes the following statement. On its part, the state enterprise Lviv Armored Plant, which is also part of Ukroboronprom, has handed over another batch of 4 T-64BM Bulat MBTs and 2 T-72As to the Ministry of Defense.

The armored vehicles went through the scheduled maintenance schedule, received a new paint coating, an upgrade of their communication and navigation systems. Robots were used to carry on some operations. For the first quarter of 2020, the KBTZ became the record holder for such work in favor of the Ukrainian armored divisions.

“In the first quarter of 2020, we have a wide range of cooperation, the coordination of the armored vehicle's technology of the company, and a plan for the sale and purchase of goods for a total of 1.7 billion hryvnias for the first time, which represents a 2.4% increase. The armed forces received over 300 new, updated and modernized military vehicles, said the CEO.

The State Enterprise “Kyiv Armored Plant” specializes in the production of light armored vehicles, overhaul and modernization of armored vehicles, military and technical equipment, missile and artillery equipment.

Six T-64 and T-72 MBTs upgraded by Lviv Armored Plan handed over to Ukrainian MoD

The state enterprise Lviv Armored Plant, which is a part of Ukroboronprom, has handed over another batch of 4 T-64BM MBTs and 2 T-72As to the Ministry of Defense. "We had to restore some armored vehicles under quarantine restrictions, but we took all necessary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus on LBTZ. We managed to organize the work and timely transfer the vehicles to the army" said Victor Androschuk, director of Lviv BTZ.

 The head of the company also told that the design and technological bureau of the enterprise is working on the development of major repairs and modernization of other types of tracked armored vehicles, such as the T-80 tank and the armored recovery vehicles Brem-2 and BTS-4. "It is a long and laborious process of mastering new types of equipment, but we set ourselves ambitious tasks: mastering the repair and modernization of all types of tracked armored vehicles in service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We work and accumulate our potential and it is very important to have subsequent government orders to, firstly, retain a unique team of professionals in the workplace, and secondly, to further increase the capacity of the enterprise to increase the defense capabilities of our state, "said Victor Androschuk.

Lviv Armored Plant is a state-owned enterprise with 76 years of experience. It deals not only with repair, but also with the production of armored vehicles and components, namely: armored fire engines GPM-72 and GPM-54, armored repair and evacuation vehicles BREM "Lev" and ZUBR BREM, and the Dozor-B tactical armored wheeled vehicle.

The company also overhauls and upgrades T-55, T-64 and T-72 tanks, and a number of special engineering vehicles, such as the BMR-2 armored demining machine and the IMR-2 demarcation engineering machine.

The company employs more than 700 people, the average salary for the first quarter of 2020 is more than 16,600 hryvnias. which is almost 70% more than the average salary in the Lviv region.
