Designed for the engineering forces of the Russian Ground Forces, the ISDM will be demonstrated for the first time. The system is made of two components: the multiple launcher and its transport-loading vehicle.
The creation of an ISDM remote mining system for mining was carried out by JSC NPO Splav (Tula) under the OKR Agriculture-I under a state contract with the Ministry of Defense of Russia No. N/3/4/74-2014-DGOZ concluded on December 30, 2013, however, as can be judged, it was significantly delayed. Information materials on ISDM were presented for the first time at the Army-2016 international military-technical forum. However, samples of IDSMs are unveiled only now, and there is still no data on the system’s entry into mass production. The system is supposed to be a mine dispenser working like air-dropped cluster bombs.
According to well-known data, the ISDM combat vehicle is a 50-barrel multiple launch rocket system made on a KamAZ 8x8 chassis and firing with specially designed 122-mm rockets equipped with mines of various types, the preparation of data for firing is automated. Rockets are in transport-launch containers. The reloading system includes a transport-loading machine, also mounted on an 8x8 KamAZ chassis.
