Indeed, besides the production of the Tarlon, the actual implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed in 2017 with the Uzbek automotive enterprise UzAuto on the organization of joint production in Uzbekistan at the facilities of the last 1,000 Turkish Ejder Yalçın 4x4 armored vehicles developed by the Turkish Nurol Makina has begun. The Ejder Yalcin is a 4x4 wheeled tactical armored combat vehicle. Its hull is of all-welded steel armor construction that provides ballistic protection against firing of small arms and shell splinters. The vehicle is based on monocoque structures with integrated V-shaped armored hull that increase vehicle and crew survivability by deflecting an upward directed blast from a landmine or Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) away from the vehicle, while also presenting a sloped armor face. The Ejder Yalcin is motorized with a Cummins Diesel engine developing 300 hp at 3,100 rpm, coupled to a fully automatic transmission with hydrodynamic torque converter. The vehicle can reach 110 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 600 km.
The agreement also provides for the supply of armored vehicles assembled at UzAuto to third countries.
