The new ZMA 8x8 armored vehicle has been fully designed and developed by the Turkish company BMC, which is also the lead company for the production of the Turkish local-made Altay MBT (Main Battle Tank).
According to information published by the Railly News website, the ZMA 8x8 armored vehicle has a weight of 30 tons and is powered by an Azra 600 hp engine also developed by the company BMC.
The ZMA 8x8 armored vehicle is fitted with the unmanned turret Korhan developed by the Turkish company Aselsan. The second armament of the turret includes one 7.62mm coaxial machine gun.
The Korhan turret is also equipped with new generation communication systems developed by ASELSAN to meet the intensive communication needs of today’s battlefield. The system also has all the ability to perform tasks within the command and control network to coordinate with the elements to be jointly worked.
