The day before, the driver-mechanics underwent theoretical training, honed their skills and improved their professional skills on training simulators, worked out the fulfillment of standards at specialized sites in the conditions of a training ground. In the course of amphibious assault training, military personnel learn and practice tactical actions of crews of armored personnel carriers as part of sub-units, carry out loading onto landing boats both from the shore and afloat, as well as amphibious assault landing in a combined way - afloat and at point-blank range. These classes are an integral part of the combat training of driver mechanics for units of the coastal forces of the flotilla.

Currently, within the framework of amphibious assault training, the Marines are preparing to participate in a military sports festival dedicated to the Day of the Navy. One of the most spectacular episodes is traditionally the landing of amphibious assault forces from landing boats and the seizure of an unequipped section of the sea coast on armored personnel carriers BTR-82A and BTR-80.

In total, about 200 marines of the Caspian Flotilla are taking part in the training events, more than 30 units of military equipment are involved.
