Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff has visited Proforce armored vehicles manufacturer.
The visit of Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff to Proforce’s Facility on 22nd September 2021 is an endorsement of the Proforce Brand especially for the use of the Nigerian Armed Forces in the ongoing onslaught on criminals and criminal elements in the country. The Proforce’s Armoured vehicles are tailored-made for clients and are battle tested both in Nigeria, Chad and other parts of Africa.

During the visit, the COAS visited Proforce’s Showroom where he inspected some corporate armouring for organisations and individuals. He also visited the Maintenance, Repairs and Overhaul (MRO) where repairs of vehicles like Cobra 1 APC, Steyr APC, Navistar and Caiman MRAPs etc. The COAS was shown round the production floor and the elated COAS said the only way to go about Military hardware is indigenous. He also took a tour of the Helmets and Vests section of the company and Staff Quarters.
Parts of the presentation showcased to the Chief were the capabilities of Proforce in the Area of Drone and Trainer jets manufacturing, Military Communication Systems, Signal Intelligence, Open Source and Web Intelligence and other Naval Capabilities.

PROFORCE PRODUCTS
Proforce has developed a large portfolio of products for the Police, Military, Corporate Organizations and Civilian market.
Our PF2, an Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC), has been exported to Rwanda, Central African Republic and South Sudan. The Nigerian Police Force has inducted our APCs into their fleet of APCs.
Our latest monocoque MRAP is built to STANAG level 4569 standard. The MRAP named PF ARA was designed and manufactured in Nigeria and was unveiled by the Chief of Defence Staff in August, 2019 at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre. Proforce has an order to supply a huge amount of PF ARA MRAPs to the Nigerian and Chadian Army.
PROFORCE FACILITY
Our main Armoured Vehicle Manufacturing plant in Ode Remo has a capacity to produce 20 units per month of the PF ARA and 40 units per month of our PF-2. We have another manufacturing plant situated at Port Harcourt to supply orders from the South-South regions of Nigeria.

PROFORCE EXPANSION
Proforce acquired 100 hectares land along the Lagos-Ibadan express way for expansion of our Armoured Vehicle Manufacturing and other defence solutions. Our expansions include construction of the following facilities:
- Armoured Vehicle Manufacturing Plant
- Air Systems Manufacturing Plant for Drones
- Electronic Equipment Factory for the manufacturing of Land Mobile Radios and Jammers.
- Ammunition Production Factory
- State-of-the-Art Research and Development Centre
- State-of-the-Art training school
- A vehicle testing track
- A firing range
- Armoured glass manufacturing factory
- Staff Quarters
- Recreation Centres
BACKWARD INTEGRATION
The group acquired a steel rolling mill, few years back. This is expected to enhance more local content in terms of producing ballistic steel used for our armoured vehicles and to be self-dependent in armoured vehicle manufacturing. Our Steel Rolling Mill, known as Sun Metals, is located in Ota, Ogun State and has installed a production capacity of over 350,000 Metric Tons per annum. Production of ballistic steel will be the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa and most of the products will be exported to countries within and outside Africa. Sun Metals Ltd. supplies aluminium ingots to Toyota for light skin vehicle manufacturing.
