This military equipment which will be delivered by Belgium to Ukraine represents the cutting edge of defense equipment that is not yet in service within the Belgian armed forces. Citing the Belgian Minister of Defense Ludivine Dedonder, these new equipment that will be supplied to Ukraine are fully manufactured in Belgium. With this new donation, the Belgian government wants to show her great involvement in her support for Ukraine in the face of the invasion of the country by Russian troops, added Ludivine Dedonder.

These new equipment donated by Belgium, also show the high level of expertise and technology in the defense sectors developed and designed by Belgian companies.

In this article, the Army Recognition editorial team presents the two defense products that Belgium will supply to Ukraine that include the BIONEAR RDOIT, a rapidly deployable medical mobile lab designed and manufactured by the company Praesens Care and the R7, a naval surveillance and observation ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) manufactured by the company ECA Robotics Belgium.

The RDOIT is a mobile laboratory manufactured by the Belgium company Praesens Care. The vehicle is based on IVECO light truck chassis which is equipped with the latest technology of equipment able to investigate infectious disease incidents or epidemics. According to the needs, the vehicle can be also fitted with other equipment to conduct other types of CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) missions.

The RDOIT is a modular vehicle that can be used stand-alone or in a fleet, creating a complete laboratory with extended possibilities and increased capacity, depending on the needs. It can work in extreme and all weather conditions (humid, desert, or arctic climates. It can be also rapidly deployed by road, sea or air by military transport aircraft. The vehicle is operational in less than twenty minutes.

The second piece of equipment that Belgium will donate to Ukraine is the R7 a Naval Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) which combines the compactness and ease of deployment of mini-ROVs with the performance, speed, and payload carrying capacity of professional observation-class ROVs.

Fast, modular and easy to deploy, the R7 is designed for oceanographers, hydrographers, fish farmers and operators of submerged structures for all their underwater missions up to a depth of 300m, including inspection, observation, surveillance, maintenance, and object recovery.

The R7 incorporates the latest developments in digital technology for some of the highest-quality images on the market. The plug-and-play connection of payloads is facilitated by the 100% digital architecture, giving the R7 its scalable character.

The R7 also stands out in terms of ergonomics thanks to its highly intuitive Human Machine Interface and ease of use.

The R7 can also be equipped with a manipulator's arm with up to five functions, making it extremely maneuverable. It can easily handle or recover objects up to 2 kg.
