Russia developing Manul IFV on basis of Ukraine combat experience.
MOSCOW, August 15. /TASS-DEFENSE/. The advanced Manul infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) is being developed on the basis of the combat experience gained while operating armored vehicles in the special military operation in Ukraine, Executive Director of Kurganmashzavod (KMZ, part of the High-Precision Systems Company within the Rostec state hi-tech corporation) Pyotr Tyukov told TASS.

“R&D work is currently in progress to develop the Manul infantry fighting vehicle, taking into account the requirements of the Defense Ministry based on the results of the operation of armored vehicles in Ukraine. After all necessary tests are completed, the batch production of the vehicle will start,” Tyukov said.
According to the executive director, the work will take about three years. At the same time, he continued, today we can already talk about the versatility of the platform. According to Tyukov, it will be possible to install the entire range of weapons on it, in particular, multiple launch rocket systems, tube and tubeless artillery systems, air defense missile systems. In addition, it will be possible to develop special machines, machines for radiochemical protection and medical purposes on the basis of the platform.
The advanced Manul IFV was unveiled at the Army 2020 forum. The combat vehicle features a front engine-transmission compartment.
