Slovak S-300 air defense missile systems will be replaced by US Patriot.
According to an interview with Ned Price the Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State on April 13, 2022, after the donation of the Soviet-made S-300 air defense missile system, the United States will provide Patriot air defense systems to Slovakia.

On April 8, 2022, Army Recognition reported that Slovakia will provide its S-300 PMU air defense missile system to Ukraine.
Self-defense capabilities of the Slovak Republic are secured and will be strengthened by the fourth battery of the Patriot air defense system that will arrive to Slovakia within the next week and will be deployed on the territory of the Slovak Republic as long as necessary.
Germany and Netherlands have approved the deployment of their Patriot air defense missile systems on Slovak territory as part of a NATO battlegroup force to boost defenses on the alliance’s eastern flank.
Citing information published by the "RadioFreeEurope", U.S. President Joe Biden has thanked Slovakia for donating its Soviet-era S-300 air-defense system to Ukraine and said it will be replaced with a U.S.-made Patriot system.
On April 14, 2022, a Patriot battery of the armed forces of the Netherlands including 150 soldiers is on the way to Slovakia at the Sliac airbase along with German soldiers which have also deployed a Patriot battery in Slovakia.
Due to the situation, Slovakia could replace S-300 donates to Ukraine by American Patriot air defense missile systems which is already in service in several NATO countries including Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Spain, and Romania, and will be entered soon into service with Poland.
The role of the PATRIOT is to defend against airborne threats as part of integrated air and missile defense system. Notable characteristics of the PATRIOT system include a short response time, the ability to engage multiple targets simultaneously, good ground mobility, and the ability to resist electronic jamming. The missile of the Patriot can intercept aerial targets with a range from 70 to 130 km.
