The Instalaza C-90 is a 90 mm disposable, shoulder-fired and one-man operated rocket-propelled grenade launcher (RPG) that can be fitted with a VN38-C night vision device for full night combat capability. It is being used as an infantry-type weapon, with Instalaza also claiming it to be "the lightest infantry weapons system in its class". The following variants produced by Instalaza are:
C-90-CR (M3) and the C-90-CR-RB (M3) – equipped with a hollow-charge warhead of different types. Has armor penetration of 400 mm.
C-90-CR-AM (M3) – also has a head shaped charge, but with a special body that provides antipersonnel fragmentation
C-90-CR-FIM (M3) – contains more than 1.3 kg of red phosphorus composition, producing incendiary effects and smoke.
C-90-CR-BK (M3) – has a tandem warhead precursor for anti-bunker/building fortifications. The warhead pierces the walls and goes through the wall before it explodes inside the interior.
C-90-CR-IN (M3) – is a training model with an inert warhead.
The C-90-CR—RB weighs 5.3 kg, has a range of 350 m (point target) and a penetration capacity of 480 mm in armor steel, and 1.2 meters in concrete. Like all versions, it includes a two-magnification optical sight and trigger mechanism, both disposable and integrated into the launcher tube. The VN38-C night sight can be used, which does not require homogenization and can be assembled and disassembled on the battlefield in seconds. This viewer has interchangeable optics that allow it to also be used for surveillance with 3.3x magnification.
In 2018, Instalaza signed a framework agreement for an amount of 30 million euros with the Estonian Ministry of Defense for the delivery of C90 rocket launchers in different versions, ammunition and training equipment for five years, as published by Infodefensa.
