Tatra under AMOS Czech defense association offers Pandur II 8x8 armored for Slovak MoD.
According to information published by the Czech Defence Journal "czdjournal" on January 17, 2021, under the AMOS agency, Czech company Tatra Defence Vehicle from the Czechoslovak Group will respond to the Slovak MoD (Ministry of Defense) tender for the acquisition of new wheeled armored vehicles with its Pandur II.

On July 2021, Army Recognition had reported that the Slovak Ministry of Defense, the armed forces of Slovakia plans to acquire 500 8x8 AFVs (Armored Fighting Vehicle) and 228 tracked AFVs by 2035.
In 2021, the Czech Ministry of Defense has launched the AMOS agency, a news association that will support he export of the Czech defense industry. The agency's activities are focused on foreign states that want to follow the government-government purchasing method.
The Pandur II is an 8x8 armored vehicle that is produced in the Czech Republic by the company TATRA Defence Vehicle. Tatra has signed an agreement with General Dynamics European Land Systems to manufacture and develop various versions of Pandur II 8x8 as well as production, modernization or upgrade.
In 2006, the government of the Czech Republic has awarded Austrian company Steyr-Daimler-Puch Spezialfahrzeug approximately $1 billion to supply the Czech army with 199 Pandur II armored personnel carriers. In January 2015, Czech company Excalibur Army signed an agreement with GDELS-Steyr for the licence to exclusively market, sell and service the Pandur II 8×8 wheeled armored vehicle family in Czech Republic and other countries in Eastern Europe and Asia.
The Pandur II is designed to be a modular armored vehicle that can be configured in different versions according to mission requirements. The all-welded hull of the vehicle provides protection up to Level 4 STANAG 4569 against firing of small arms 14.5 mm caliber and mine protection of 10 kg TNT blast explosion under the body and the wheels of the vehicle.
In APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) version, the Pandur II can accommodate up to 14 military personnel including driver, commander and gunner. The vehicle can be equipped with a wide range of weapon stations that can be armed with automatic cannon up to 40mm caliber or 105mm gun.
The Pandur II is powered by a six-cylinder Diesel engine Cummins ISLe coupled to a fully automatic transmission ZF. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed of 105 km/h with a maximum cruising range of 700 km. In option, the Pandur II can be fitted with an amphibious kit including two water jets mounted at the rear of the hull and a hydraulically operated trim vane mounted at the front of the chassis. In the water, the vehicle can reach a maximum speed of 10 km/h.
