Typically, CZ had modified its range to include a barrel and stock extension for CARBINE models. But here the Czech company has decided to minimize dimensions while retaining comfort, safety, performance, and precision as far as possible. This is the direction in which the new CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S2 Micro has been designed.

Its main feature is a 140 mm barrel equipped with a three-prong spiral flame arrestor. According to the company, although the barrel length is considerably shorter than that of other CZ Scorpion EVO 3 models, users of the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S2 Micro would be able to take full advantage of the performance and accuracy of the 9 × 19 cartridge. The new flame arrestor, whose design is based on the flame arrestor fitted to the CZ Bbren 2 rifle, contributes to improved shooting comfort.

The CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S2 Micro features a short aluminum alloy scabbard, with a large number of M-LOK mounting interfaces. The firearm is fitted with a handguard on the lower part of the scabbard. As with all models in the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 series, this ultra-compact model is fitted as standard with a long Picatinny rail, primarily designed for mounting optics. The weapon also features an ambidextrous manual safety and a 10-round magazine capacity.

The new CZ Scorpion EVO 3 S2 Micro is available in two versions, one with a folding/telescopic shoulder stock featuring a QD socket for attachment of a quick-release buckle, and the other with an upper frame extension featuring a quick-release buckle.

It now remains to be seen exactly what this newcomer's capabilities will be, and how it will fare around the world.
